Here is a recent illustration I did that’s inspired by “Banks” by Needtobreathe.

 

I always loved the scene where Arwen encourages Aragorn while he’s doubting himself because of his family line and his own humanity. As a part of Inktober I drew this, inspired by that very scene:

I’ve added these illustrations, and another Emaré and Adrien print to my InPrnt shop!

 

I’m still deciding what else to add there, but these should do for now.

Kyan has entered the chat.

I’ve been drawing Tamiko since I was 12/13, the character I’ve drawn the longest next to her is Kyan. It’s feels good to finally have him in the story after all this time.

I’m sure everyone (including myself) can’t wait for the next page.

We had a lovely time in Bath this last weekend, I absolutely loved Somerset. I definitely want to go again, it’s a beautiful part of the UK with hills and little cottages everywhere outside the city. I also got to meet the wonderful Laura Hollingsworth and her family! They showed me some beautiful places in Bath and we got to sketch quite a bit. That’s something I really enjoy about the internet, is how we can connect with people with similar interests and meet them irl. Laura got me hooked on the bigger micron pens she uses for her marker sketches. I’m definitely going to get some more colors and experiment with them in my sketchbook some more.

While we were in Bath, Jared was waiting for me and a Brit started talking to him. Immediately he said, “Ah, you’ve got a Yankee accent. Where are you from?” Jared told me he never thought he’d be called a Yankee before. It was very entertaining.

The most surprising part of our trip was Stonehenge. We weren’t really planning on seeing it, but I didn’t expect it to literally be right off the road on the way to Bath. It was cool to see though!

Edit: My husband and I are in Bath this weekend, seeing the beautiful city and the Somerset countryside. My service here is terrible, I have the page colored and the sketch for the next page, but I can’t get it to upload. We should be back home Monday night!

Welcome to Muren!

I’m currently attempting to participate daily in Inktober. I’ve never fully completed the challenge, but I love doing ink drawings so much. I decided it would be a good excuse to practice with my digital watercolor/ink wash brushes I have. Of course, I had to draw Adrien since he’s become such a favorite for readers:

I originally had a page in the script where there were different scenes of Adrien and Tamiko walking on the way to Muren in silence, to add to the lack of communication. I was so indecisive if I still wanted that in there, or if it was unnecessary. So, I’ve skipped it for now. Let me know what you guys think.

Here is the sketch for everyone! I should have this fully lined and colored by tomorrow.
