Emaré is my guinea pig for clothes I can’t afford. I may not be able to have them, but she can.

Edit 8/15: I’m working on the lines to be out tonight, I had more commission work come in this week.

I finally finished all my commission work. Jared and I also celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary this weekend. He surprised me with a drive to Ely, and we got to see the beautiful Ely Cathedral. We found out they do tours for the tower as well, I’m excited to check that out next week. It’s supposed to be one of the highest points in England. As a girl who grew up in Colorado, I’m interested to see how high it really feels compared to what I’m used to. It’s hard to beat the height of the Rockies but I’m sure the Cathedral will be beautiful.

I wasn’t able to get to the lines, so here is the sketched version for everyone. You get to see more of my process here too and how I create backgrounds to set up my scenes. SketchUp is such a lifesaver for comics, I sincerely don’t know what I’d do without it. I’ll try to color this tomorrow, it’ll depend on my current commission work.

Here are the base colors! Hopefully I’ll have a chance to finish this and the other pages this week. What do you guys think is Adrien’s favorite thing to draw?

Edit 8/1: I had a ton of commissions this week and just started on the page today, I will try to get the lines up tonight, but for sure with colors tomorrow! Here is sneak peek of Emaré’s next outfit for everyone.

 

I tried a new coloring method here, I like parts of it, but I plan on mixing it with what I was doing previously to find what I’m looking for. I think it was quicker too. Let me know what you guys think! I also changed the font for the Xian language to be more Japense-esque than Greek, since Xia is inspired by Japan. Both are good, I may change it back.

The heat wave in England has been wild without AC. The houses here are meant to keep a lot of heat in and it’s fine until a heat wave like this comes around. It’s made me want to be anywhere but near my hot computer lol. Thank you for being patient with me and enjoy the lines!

I sketched out a ton of Theora pages last week, they’re very rough, but I’m hoping to fully line some this week. That’s honestly what put me behind on the comic update. When creativity hits, you’ve got to take it and go.
